This online notepad is the quickest way to jot something down without opening any app: a shopping list, an email draft, ideas for a project or data you need to copy later. Every change saves itself, so closing the tab by accident loses nothing.

Without an account, notes are stored in your browser and never leave your device. Log in with your account (the same one as qr2us.com) and they sync, so you can keep writing from any device.

How to use

  1. 1Click “New note” and start typing: there is no save button to remember.
  2. 2Give it a title, or let the first line become the title.
  3. 3Search your notes from the sidebar.
  4. 4Log in with your free account to sync them between your phone and computer.
  5. 5Download any note as a TXT file when you need it outside the browser.

What you can do

  • Autosave
  • Multiple notes with search
  • Sync with your account
  • TXT download and word count

What an online notepad is good for

It replaces scraps of paper and Windows Notepad when you work across several computers or on your phone. Because it lives in the browser, it is always one tab away, next to the rest of the tools.

  • Taking quick notes in a class or a meeting.
  • Keeping drafts of emails, posts or messages.
  • Pasting text temporarily to clean it up or count its words.
  • Carrying to-do or shopping lists between computer and phone.

How your notes are saved

Saving is automatic: less than a second after you stop typing, the note is saved and you will see “Saved”. Without an account, notes live in your browser's local storage; clearing browser data clears them too.

When you are logged in, every note is saved to your account. If you edit the same note on two devices at once, the notepad detects the conflict and loads the latest version instead of silently overwriting it. The first time you log in you can import the notes you had in the browser.

Privacy and limits

Notes in your account are visible only to you, and you can export or delete them at any time from your dashboard. Each note holds up to 200,000 characters, enough for long documents, and you can keep up to 200 synced notes.

Frequently asked questions

Are my notes saved if I close the browser?

Yes. Without an account they stay in that browser on that device. With an account they are stored in the cloud and appear wherever you log in.

Do I need to sign up?

No. You can write and save notes without signing up. A free account is only needed to sync them across devices.

Can I download my notes?

Yes. Each note downloads as a TXT file in one click, and from your dashboard you can export all your notes at once as JSON.

Can anyone else read my notes?

No. Local notes never leave your browser, and account notes are only accessible while you are logged in.
