Run fair prize draws in seconds: load participants from Excel, a CSV or by typing them, add the prizes and spin. Each winner appears in a pop-up with their prize, and the results list can be copied or downloaded as a record of the draw. Great for raffles, baby showers, office parties, classrooms and social media giveaways.
The result comes from the browser's cryptographic generator — the same kind of randomness used in security — with no bias: with one entry each, everyone has exactly the same chance. Besides the wheel, you can generate random numbers or split a group into teams.
How to use
- 1Paste or import the participant list; type “Anna x3” to give three entries.
- 2If there are prizes, list them in the order they're drawn and choose “In order” or “At random”.
- 3Press “Spin the wheel”. The winner pop-up shows their name and prize.
- 4Continue with “Next draw” and download the results as a CSV at the end.
What you can do
- Animated name wheel with prizes
- Import participants from Excel, CSV or a list
- Multiple entries per person
- Prizes in order or at random
- Winner pop-up and full-screen mode
- Results downloadable as CSV
- Random numbers and team splitter
- Cryptographic randomness
Prize draws in order or at random
In “In order” mode, prizes are awarded in list order — the usual choice when the grand prize comes last. In “At random” mode, each winner gets one of the remaining prizes, also chosen at random. “Gift card x2” counts as two units of the same prize.
By default nobody can win twice: after each round the winner leaves the wheel. Uncheck the box to allow repeat winners.
Import participants from Excel or a CSV
Copy the names column from a spreadsheet and paste it, or import a CSV or TXT file. Headers such as “Name” or “Entries” are recognized automatically. The tool flags repeated names and can merge them by adding up their entries.
- A second numeric column sets the number of entries.
- “Anna x3”, “Anna ×3” or “Anna (3)” also work.
- Up to 500 participants and 100 entries per person.
Winner pop-up and full-screen mode
Every draw ends with a pop-up showing the winner and their prize, designed to be projected at an event. The full-screen button enlarges the wheel so it can be seen from across the room, and the winner pop-up shows in that mode too.
Random numbers and teams
Generate one to a thousand numbers between a minimum and maximum, with or without repeats, or split participants at random into a number of teams or teams of a fixed size. When splitting by number of teams, sizes never differ by more than one.
Frequently asked questions
Is the draw truly random?
Yes. It uses the browser's crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, which prevents some results from coming up more often. The winner is decided before the wheel spins, so the animation can't affect it.
How do multiple entries work?
The chance is proportional to entries: someone with 3 has three times the chance of someone with 1, and their slice of the wheel is three times larger.
Can I draw several prizes in a row?
Yes. List the prizes one per line and press “Next draw” after each winner. The tool tracks the prizes left.
How do I run an Instagram giveaway with this wheel?
Copy the usernames from valid comments, paste them one per line and spin. You can screen-record the draw and download the results as a CSV.
Can I draw among my event's guests?
Yes. In Anfitrión, the event planner, “Run a draw among attending guests” opens this wheel with confirmed guests already loaded.
