Combine several PDF files into a single document, in the order you choose, without uploading them to any server: the merge happens in your own browser. It's handy for putting a course's reading list, a month's invoices, or a report's chapters into one file.
You don't need to open each PDF in another program to tell them apart: every file shows its cover and page count, and a full-screen viewer lets you page through any of them, or the whole result, before merging.
How to use
- 1Upload the PDF files you want to combine: you'll see each one's cover.
- 2Drag them into the order of the final document, or sort them by name with one click.
- 3If you're unsure about a file, open it in the viewer or click “Preview result” to go through every page.
- 4Click “Merge PDF” and download the combined document.

Check the result before downloading
“Preview result” lets you go through the document page by page, full size, exactly as it will come out. The “All pages” view shows every file's thumbnails grouped in order, so you can see at a glance that nothing is missing or extra.
Order matters
The final document follows the grid's order: left to right, top to bottom. Drag each card into place with the mouse, press and hold to move it on mobile, or use the keyboard (space to pick it up, arrows to move it). “Sort by name” puts them in alphabetical order and understands numbers: “chapter 2” comes before “chapter 10”.
Rotate a whole file
If a scanned PDF comes in sideways, rotate it from its card: the rotation applies to all its pages in the merged document. To rotate, remove or move single pages, use Organize PDF.
Damaged or protected PDFs
If a file can't be read, or is encrypted or password-protected, it's flagged in red and can't be merged until you remove it. The other files aren't affected.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Files are read, displayed and combined in your browser; they are never sent over the internet.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. An encrypted PDF, even one with only a permissions password, stores its content encrypted and the tool can't decrypt it: the result would be unreadable, so it warns you instead of merging. Remove the protection first with whatever program set it.
Can I see what's inside the PDFs before merging?
Yes. Click any card to open that file in the viewer, or click “Preview result” to page through the whole merged document, with zoom.
Does it keep the original PDFs' quality?
Yes. Pages are copied as-is, without re-compressing text or images.
Is there a file, page or size limit?
The tool doesn't set a fixed limit, but very large files (above roughly 50 MB) may take longer to process depending on your device.
